Ex-TC-10 - Electronic Temperature Control Device

The electronic temperature controller Ex-TC-10 features a wide setpoint temperature range from 0 °C to +450 °C. The ambient temperature range is between –55 °C and +50 °C. The controller was developed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. Typical applications include frost protection and temperature maintenance. Choose between a temperature controller with alarm relay, a variant with RS 485 interface with Modbus protocol or a controller-limiter combination with alarm relay. The device is able to switch high nominal currents and ensures optimum mechanical safety. The cover closes quickly, making it easy to handle where it is used. All variants are suitable for use with our self-regulating heating cables (ELSR) and resistance heating cables (ELK), as well as mineral-insulated heating cables (MI).

ELTC/ Type Electronic Temperature Controller

The electronic temperature controller type ELTC/ is designed for use as an ambient thermostat or surface thermostat with remote sensor. Cable glands and terminations are provided for the power connection. The unit is supplied in a weather proof polycarbonate casing for wall mounting, with a transparent (ELTC/05 = grey) cover. The controller should be protected from direct sunlight when used outdoors.
Function:
If the sensed temperature is lower than the adjusted set point, the relay contact closes and the heating switches on. The yellow LED glows while the contact is closed. During sensor discontinuity or sensor short circuit, the heating is switched off!

The controller can be configured for various functions in the factory.
The following types of controller are available from the factory:

• 2-position controller (conventional or PID) with hysteresis (normal case)

Function:
The temperature controller switches the connected heating based on a given set-point. The limiter ensures that the heating is switched off when reaching the over temperature. Further temperature limits can be monitored. If a limit is exceeded or not reached, potential free contacts are switched (K3/K4)

Eltherm Ex-box Hazardous Location Temperature Controller

The new eltherm ex-box is a hazardous location temperature controller developed from and by eltherm for customer needs. This product may either be used separately as a controller or limiter or as a controller limiter combination.

Ex-Box LED

The Ex-Box LED is a temperature controller developed by eltherm for use in hazardous areas, with similar features to the Ex-Box DIS, but with a simpler interface. Essentially, it is a version of the Ex-Box DIS without a personal computer bus card and providing status information via LED indicators.

ELTC-MV2

The temperature controller ELTC-MV2 Moduvise is a multi-function device with 15 control functions. Temperatures can be measured either by Pt100 in 2- & 3-wire technology, by thermocouples type J and type K, or by a standard signal. The temperature controller has four analogue inputs, two analogue outputs and three digital inputs. As a safeguard it has a message and alarm relay. There are also two RS485 interfaces, one for connecting to higher-level control systems such as the eltherm SCADA system TraceVision (Modbus protocol).

Ex-Box LIM/DIS

The LIM/DIS Ex-box is an electronic limiter for shutting down the connected electrical trace heating with lasting effect in case of overtemperature and is suitable for installation in potentially explosive atmospheres as well as inside or outside of buildings. The integrated control panel with display or the integrated bus interface can be used for programming and operation. The interface of the Ex box allows for central evaluation and parametrisation in the measurement control station with simultaneous decentralised use of the Ex box locally on the corresponding heating circuits.
