BSTW II Safety Temperature Monitor And BTB II BSTB II Limiter 25 A Fail-Safe

BSTW II temperature monitors and BTB II/BSTB II temperature limiters are ON/OFF thermostats in Ex e certified polyester enclosures. In addition to the use of conventional power cables, BSTW II and BTB II/BSTW II are approved for the direct connection of self-limiting BARTEC heating circuits in the enclosure terminals. A verification of thermal safety and a further approval by any third party authority is not necessary. The benefit to the customer is obvious. Any directly connected self-limiting heating circuit considerably reduces the number of junction boxes and installation cost. BSTW II and BTB II/BSTB II monitor ambient temperatures as well as different surface temperatures. In accordance with EN 60079-30-1, BTB II and BSTB II fail-safe temperature limiters are designed to switch off and remain switched off when the preset limit temperature is reached. The restart lockout requires manual resetting directly at the device.

FUNCTION

Any change in temperature in the sensor causes a change in the volume in the liquid-filled measuring system, which in turn results in a movement of the diaphragm membrane, which is connected to a transmission mechanism, and this opens a microswitch. If the sensor temperature exceeds the set value, the contacts 1 and 2 remain continuously open. The contacts in the BTB II/BSTB II remain continuously open until there is a manual intervention.

BSTW II

• Turns on and off automatically whenever the temperature exceeds or drops below the setpoint value

BTB II

Fail-safe temperature limiter.

• Rising calibration to limit temperature during the process
• Switches off and remains switched off once the limit temperatures are reached

BSTB II

Fail-safe safety temperature limiter.

• The BSTB II functions in the same manner as the BTB II temperature limiter, whereby the setting range is limited here to 0 °C to 130 °C or 130 °C to 190 °C based on the temperature classes T3 and T4.

ELTC 05 Frostcontrol

The electronic temperature controller ELTC 05-Frostcontrol is designed for use as an ambient thermostat and surface thermostat with remote sensor. Cable glands and terminals are provided for power input. The unit is supplied in a weather proof plastic enclosure for wall mounting, with a grey cover. The controller should be protected from direct sunlight when used outdoors. In case of use as ambient temperature controller, the sensor cable is shortened to allow fastening of the sensor sleeve within the M12 gland. The sleeve should project by approximately 15 mm

The electronic temperature controller of type series ELTC is a controller with digital display for wall mounting. The REG/DIS Ex-box is used for electronic temperature recording and temperature control of electrical trace heating and is suitable for installation in potentially explosive atmospheres as well as inside or outside of buildings. The integrated control panel with display or the integrated bus interface can be used for programming and operation. The interface of the Ex box allows for central evaluation and parametrisation in the measurement control station with simultaneous decentralised use of the REG/DIS Ex box locally on the corresponding heating circuits.

Ex-Box REG/LED

Ex-Box REG/LED: complying with latest Ex-protection directives 94/9/CE (ATEX 95) this electronic temperature controller has been designed and developed especially for its use in hazardous areas. Ex-box LIM/LED

The LIM/LED Ex-box is an electronic limiter for shutting down the connected electrical trace heating with lasting effect in case of overtemperature and is suitable for installation in potentially explosive atmospheres as well as inside or outside of buildings. The device is equipped with an LED in the cover. The (optional) Ex-Control handheld operating device or the integrated bus interface can be used for programming and operation. Ex-Control

Intrinsically safe control panel for connecting to Ex-box REG/LED, LIM/LED. The Ex control panel ensures additional safety in potentially explosive atmospheres. Unauthorised adjustments to the setpoints are prevented because the control panel is only inserted for parametrisation. The Ex-Control panel is used to parametrise and query parameters of the REG/LED Ex-box and LIM/LED Ex-box devices. Ex-Control detects the connected device and automatically activates the corresponding software. Ex-Control does not have its own power supply. It is supplied by the connected devices.

Ex-TC-W Electronic Temperature Controller

The electronic temperature controller Ex-TC was developed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. We offer different variants for different purposes, for wall mounting or for fastening onto pipelines. Choose between a temperature controller with alarm relay, a variant with RS 485 interface with Modbus protocol or a controller-limiter combination with alarm relay. The device is able to switch high nominal currents and with its round shape it ensures optimum mechanical safety. The cover closes quickly with a snap lock, making it easy to handle where it is used.
